Awfis: A 5-Star Scam? So many 5-star reviews for a place that’s shutting down—makes you wonder, are these even real or just paid hype? And why do they all have the same stock photos? 😂 Here’s the real deal from someone who actually worked here for almost two years: The service-to-cost ratio is a joke. If you want to know what their service is like, just take a look at your toilet bowl in the morning—you’ll get the idea. The coffee machine has mould on it. The toilet walls have mould on them. Gross. Expecting a client visit? Good luck. It takes forever to get them in, and when they finally do, they’re met by a rude, clueless attendant who has no idea what’s going on. Need a quiet space for a meeting? Tough luck. There’s literally nowhere to sit in silence unless you pay extra for a meeting room. Honestly, I’m convinced they’re just paying influencers to write fake glowing reviews so they can onboard people and then force them to relocate when this place shuts down. Looking for a real coworking space? Check out East India Works near Park Street. 7-9k per seat, solid community, and run by a local guy, not some faceless corporate. Don’t fall for Awfis’s ‘premium vs. gold’ gimmicks—support a space that actually cares about its members.

Most of the review here seem to be by paid local guides. Thats my personal opinion after checking 20 reviews on this page. Awfis Chowringhee is actually shutting down and all their tenants are being forced to move to other awfis locations (which arn't doing that well, I Know this being an insider in the industry). Instead of getting stuck in the Awfis loop of bad service and high prices consider East India Works. We have 3 high end centers at prices ranging from INR 7-9k per seat all located 5 mins from park street with excellent metro connectivity and team members who will actually talk to you and care vs a large corporate company. Do not get fooled by the random introduction of tiers (which no one needs-Awfis Premium vs Awfis Gold) and consider some of the local coworking spaces which are more organic and actually have a semblance of real community. Written in public interest.
