Dr Ashith shettian is an outstanding and caring physician. My father is 83 yrs and had complex health issues, but the doctor explained every diagnosis and treatment in plain language that we all could understand. They were excellent in reviewing his medication and coordinating with other specialists.Their professionalism hv made a significant difference in my father's health. He also treated my 82 yr old mother who had vertigo issues with utmost care and gentleness. The doctor was very kind and patient....and answered all our queries...which reduced our stress. However Discharge process for insurance patients is complicated. Hope the hospital will look into this matter and resolve the issue. Truly a remarkable physician who genuinely cares about elderly patients. Highly recommend for anyone seeking senior care.

This is the worst hospital I have ever seen. In a major metro city, I did not expect such poor standards. The exterior of the building may look new, but the actual condition inside is terrible. There were rats moving inside the room, the washroom flush was not working, and the fan barely functioned. We couldn’t sleep the entire night because of the discomfort. The nursing staff on the 3rd floor were rude and unprofessional, and instead of helping, they behaved as if we were disturbing them. When I asked the receptionist about the pest issue, she casually said that they do pest control regularly but “sometimes rats still come and they cannot control it.” This response was shocking and unacceptable for a healthcare facility. A hospital should provide safety, hygiene, and care — unfortunately, this place failed in all three.

My experience at Athena Hospital was extremely disappointing due to the unreasonable and inflated charges. The revive charge was applied incorrectly, the general service fees were almost three times higher than expected, and even the laboratory bill was nearly doubled. Simple items like a syringe pump were charged at triple the usual rate, and the overall service charge was also excessively high. In comparison, SCS Hospital was much better, with fairer pricing and more transparent billing. To make matters worse, the receptionist at Athena Hospital was rude and unhelpful, which added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation
