Service very bad, very rude front desk manager who refused to get My husbands AirPods back and only after he pushed for 20 minutes he relented and called the cleaners (even after calling 3 times and emailing). No initiative or problem solving skills to be seen. Please do better.

Stayed here for a work trip. The hotel its self is nice but the area it is located in is questionable. The room was lovely, but one of the complementary shower gels wouldn’t function. The sink also took a very long time to drain between uses. I was on the 14th floor and the views were lovely. All in all a great stay. Bed was comfy and shower was nice. We had breakfast included which was a buffet. There wasn’t much seating in use and we ended up having to make ourselves a larger table. There were only fried eggs in the buffet area, and the coffee machine was broken which was disappointing. Overall a good stay. I probably would stay here again.

Great place to visit. The staff are great and very helpful. Food is good and between 5pm and 7pm some drinks are two for one. Parking is a bit more difficult.

Lovely and clean rooms. We booked interconnected family rooms which are great for our family of 4. We dinned at NP20 restaurant on 3rd floor of the hotel. The food and service are both wonderful. Many thanks Abhitith for serving us.

As a long-time Accor member, the Mercure Newport is actually the first Mercure I've ever rated with 5 stars. We received an upgrade to a Junior Suite with a fantastic view – a real highlight. The hotel is very well located in the center of Newport, right near Friars Walk with its many shops, restaurants, and other shopping opportunities. Parking is available in the Friars Walk Car Park, which cost around £10 per night during our stay. The bar is also nicely designed and a great place to enjoy a drink in the evening. The breakfast was plentiful, the staff were consistently friendly, and the entire stay was very pleasant. For me, it's the best Mercure I've stayed in in a long time – highly recommended.
