The 14 storey tower of the former Glasgow College of Building and Printing - now being converted into offices by the development company Bruntwood SciTech as of 2023. Originally designed by Peter Williams of the now defunct architectural firm Wyllie, Shanks and Underwood (which designed many of the college and university buildings in the immediate area), the building's design was influenced by both the UN Tower in New York and the strange looking roof structures were directly copied from Le Corbusier's famous Unité d'habitation housing block in Marseille, one of which was originally a gymnasium. Today it is now Grade B listed and one of Glasgow's celebrated Modernist buildings.

No longer a college (the shiny new campus is on Cathedral Street) this building currently lies derelict. Doors have been bolted shut so it's no tourist attraction. Fire alarms used to go off quite regularly in this derelict building and it was kinda fun watching all the red lights flash alternately on all the floors from street view (they removed the blinds when the college moved out) 🚨 but I think they've disconnected the electrics cos I don't see any fire alarms any more. The plan now apparently is to refurbish the building into a Tech start up hub with gym and yoga room and mod cons 🧘♂️🧘♀️📱📟

Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.
It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Bruntwood, who is more than happy to help out.
Please reach out to Bruntwood for more detailed information on membership options and pricing.
Open desks may be the ideal choice if you thrive in a collaborative environment and value the opportunity to connect with fellow coworkers. Dedicated desks, on the other hand, provide a designated space with shared community amenities, catering to those who seek a balance between privacy and interaction.
For ultimate focus and private interactions, private offices are best for solo individuals and teams that seek uninterrupted productivity.
Selecting the most suitable workspace for you typically hinges on your work style and preferences, but it can also be determined by the type of work that you do, its duration, and whether you work alone or in a team.
Whether you're a day pass holder or a monthly member, you can access most amenities. Meeting rooms do require prior scheduling, and private offices are reserved for those with subscriptions. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to all. Complimentary services are also available regardless of membership tier, while ancillary services can be purchased separately or negotiated with Bruntwood.
