Pleasant and comfortable stay. Rooms a little small but clean and modern. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast was very generous with savory options, with limited sweet options, but definitely excellent. Convenient location, close to restaurants, bars, and the train station. Recommended.
Our check in experience was poor. There is some work going on in the lobby, which was creating an awful lot of noise, made it quite difficult to hear the reception guy. Our room wasn't ready, despite arriving a the correct check in time, so they moved it around and got us sorted, but there was virtually no comms from the check in helper. We were on the 5th floor, when we got out of the lift, you could hear the wind coming through some vents, it sounded bewitched. The room was nice enough, but the concrete feel on the ceilings, it looked like a film set for resident evil. The best bit about the bed, is the integrated plug socket. The worse bit is the cardboard mattress, and very cheap feeling bedding that was most unpleasant to touch. We could still hear the wind from the haunted vents, despite being some way from it. The walk, if you are coming up from the river, requires you to go through an unlit crack den tunnel that stinks of urine. Not a nice way to return to the hotel.
Very good location for our stay in Glasgow, the hotel was well maintained and staffed all times. We didn't particularly liked to have the bathroom sink into the bedroom. The room was warm and enough space for two. A bit noisy on the weekend due to late night street life. The smart card system for checking in/out was great. They used wooden card and mostly recyclable materials.
Lovely hotel in a fantastic location. Staff are super friendly and the breakfast options are plentiful + very tasty. I'd easily come back here.
Management team should be reviewed as they are very unprofessional and do not hold up to the standards of this place, had multiple bad experiences with them, social hub is a really great place and offers a good experience, should not be brought down by a few mangers just because they hate their jobs
