I had a lovely two night stay plus we hosted a work meeting on one evening and were taken care of so well by Hermione and Anna - super attentive and really helpful throughout the evening. Would definitely recommend the venue and its staff for hosting events

Modern hotel. Very good. The only drawbacks are the lack of a minibar and the bathtub being too high, which makes it dangerous.

Difficult. Good location with direct bus connections to the city center and the Water of Leith walkway. Rooms are quiet and spacious. Rooms are heated. Problems: Communication regarding requests and problems leaves much to be desired; in fact, after friendly, positive feedback from staff, requests are simply ignored. Example 1: Cost-cutting measures regarding room cleaning. Rooms are only cleaned if a sign indicating they are due by 11 pm is posted on the outside of the room. This was not communicated. Requests to have the room cleaned are ignored. The cleaning staff is also uncooperative; they only clean the rooms on the list. Example 2: Breakfast. A request to fill out the list of items, which had become quite sparse, about an hour before the end of breakfast, is acknowledged positively by everyone approached, but then studiously ignored. The entire experience is driven by cost-cutting and is inadequate for the price and location of the hotel.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • For spontaneous collaboration and interaction, open desks provide an open and flexible environment. If you prefer a dedicated space with shared community elements, dedicated desks offer a great balance between personal space and interaction.

On the other hand, private offices are best suited for focused work and private interactions. They're ideal for solo workers as well as teams seeking a dedicated space, shielded from distractions.

Choosing the ideal coworking arrangement for you is about aligning your workspace with your work style, team dynamics, and project requirements.

  • At Village - Edinburgh, those looking for a workspace for an entire day, Meeting Rooms are available.

  • Coworking spaces typically have limited storage options, most of which are reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices. With that said, it’s best to contact the coworking operator directly via the form on the right side of the page to learn about available storage options.

  • Whether you're a day pass holder or a monthly member, you can access most amenities. Meeting rooms do require prior scheduling, and private offices are reserved for those with subscriptions. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to all. Complimentary services are also available regardless of membership tier, while ancillary services can be purchased separately or negotiated with International Upload.

  • Flexibility is the cornerstone of coworking, so you always have the option to adjust your workspace to match your current needs. With month-to-month memberships, you can effortlessly upgrade, downgrade, or even switch between different coworking plans.

While the standard practice is to change memberships only once the current one ends, International Upload may be able to offer additional options, so it’s best to reach out to their staff directly.
