Absolutely horrendous experience. One of our party is a diabetic with delicate and specialised material which cannot be touched as it will be ruined. We explained this to the head of the security on shift and he rightly wanted to make sure we had no contraband. We tried to present him with the legal documents (recognised the world over) but he became belligerent and refused to entertain. We were forced to open the material which as a result is useless. We have been through at least 10 airports throughout the world and never had an issue. The arrogance of the individual dealing with us was astounding. We will be following up with a formal complaint.

Great local airport for Belfast, quick to get through when landing. Something to note. Don't ask the guys at the taxi rank where the Uber cabs pick up. We were told to walk a mile in the wrong direction. Good job the Uber app took us the right way.
