I think I'll do this everyday until my daughter in law recieves her money back! Absolutely disgusting that she is out of pocket by so much money through no fault of her own.

I’m lost for words and £3337.75 out of pocket. Here’s what’s happened so far. 26.6.26 Phone call with ** regarding proposal for the room to rent. I was told I could ‘do what I needed to the room as long as it was put back at the end of the contract’. I explicitly asked about the flooring because I cannot work on carpet. I was told that either; the company could arrange for it to be changed and I would be invoiced for it, or I could do it myself which would likely be cheaper. I was told the offer for the room would only stand until 29.6.26 so I either sign the contract by then, or the price would increase. 29.6.26 I signed the contract for 12 months on the confirmation that I could make suitable changes to the room in order for me to run my business. 3.7.26 On visiting site ** disclosed that I could not make any changes to the floor. The company could do it for me but then I would be invoiced for it and the price wasn’t known at the time. I had no say in the type of flooring to be used due to restrictions in their policies. 6.7.26 I called ** first thing in the morning. I explained my concerns and how he had claimed one thing and yet there was conflicting information coming from the site. He was unaware of the situation and said he would call me back to confirm. 2 hours later ** called back to apologise and take total accountability. He said that there had been some confusion and usually we can adapt rooms for medical purpose. But unfortunately the site had their own policies which wouldn’t allow this. He was apologetic and I was grateful for the honesty and transparency. He immediately offered to cancel the contract and provide a full refund. £3338.75 had left my account by this time, so this is the amount I expected to be refunded. 16 days later and I do not have my money back. 10.6.26 I spoke to ** on the phone to explain that I was really concerned. Over £3k is a lot to a very small business like mine and I need that money to go into another space ASAP. I explained that I didn’t want to keep messaging him to chase what’s happening. I also shouldn’t have to. I requested that at the end of his working day, I would like an update on what has been actioned that day to get my money back into my account. This hasn’t happened. 20.6.26 I whatsapped ** asking for a reply at the end of the day for an update. I’ve heard nothing As a business owner myself, I am very disappointed with the lack of urgency to rectify the situation, or at least prompt communication. I am not one to complain and I would like to think I’m a very reasonable person. But this is now impacting my business and I cannot sit back and do nothing. I understand there are processes and procedures. I understand these things can take time. But I also think 16 days with very little communication is not good enough, and I would hope that anyone who reads this would agree. UPDATE 27.726 I contacted the Regus rep I have been talking to, he responds saying he no longer works for the company. I call a random number because I need to speak to someone ASAP - not an AI bot. Explain the story all over again. Caller was very apologetic and understood my frustrations, but ultimately told me what I said I did not want to hear - “it’s being dealt with”. They could not tell me why it’s taking so long. They could not tell me when I’ll get my money back. They could not tell me when I should seek legal action. 3 weeks and I am still waiting for my money. As a small independent business, this is crippling. I have emailed a letter before action and I will post one too to head office. I don’t want to take legal action but what else am I meant to do? How long will this go on for? They were quick enough to pressure me to sign the contract (2 days) and needed invoices paying by a certain date, but when it’s the other way around it’s not important. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can get my money back, please let me know I’m lost for words and £3337.75 out of pocket. Here’s what’s happened so far.

An absolutely amazing co working space! Open plan working areas, mini kitchen and drinks fridge, outdoor space and if you need privacy you can work from smaller private office space. Very cool space!

The moment I stepped into Vinegar Works, I knew my book launch was going to be something special. The venue's thoughtful design and vibrant ambiance immediately set the tone for a memorable event. With its perfect blend of functionality and aesthetics, the space provided an inspiring backdrop that complemented the theme of my book perfectly, particularly as the Christmas glitter balls were adorning the space! Located in central Worcester, the venue was easily accessible and surrounded by great options for post-event celebrations. This prime location added an extra layer of convenience and excitement to the entire experience. Bethany was excellent in communicating with me from start to finish and I couldn't have asked for a better setting to introduce my book to the world. For anyone planning a book launch or similar event, I wholeheartedly recommend Vinegar Works.
