The reviews posted here are far from what I've genuinely experienced at Spaces. Spaces is a great place to work! The staff are always friendly and helpful. The ambience is great with thoughtful design and lighting which makes it feel more like a cozy inspiring workspace rather than a traditional office with harsh fluorescent lights. Also, they have separate rooms that are soundproof which is great for calls and privacy. I highly recommend Spaces for freelancers and remote workers!

As an individual contractor renting a single desk to work my long term experience (about a year) was poor. Rented a dedicated desk for £300 a month, each individual is on a unique pricing structure, not great to find out someone next to you is paying considerably less. Overall Facilities aren't great: - Tea / coffee is excluded, instead they try and invoice you without asking about £20 a month for coffee, which is undrinkable from a nasty machine. - Temperature of the office was always an issue never right, always hot or cold. - Toilets aren't nice. - Cleanliness - had to regularly complain about the lack of cleaning (ongoing issue for months). - no atmosphere, no attempt to bring people together and have an event etc. Overall, I was felt I was treated like a commodity. One particular staff member was particularly rude and difficult to deal with. I would never go back and would avoid this place. In addition they charge you a fee when you leave to clean your desk, another opportunity to fleece you.

Unfortunately, my experience with Spaces was not a positive one, though others' experiences may differ. If, like me, you are looking for office space for four people or fewer, Spaces is the only option in the area. Despite my initial hesitation due to negative reviews of Regus, I decided to give it a try and found those concerns to be valid. The breakout space is nice and not too crowded, making it a good place for remote work, and the staff are friendly. However, there were several issues during our 12-month stay that could have been better: • Move-In Day: The promised furniture wasn't ready, except for two desks and a chair. I recommend taking photos of the walls and carpets on move-in day, as walls should be repainted beforehand. I was billed £800 for painting that was from the stay before. When I moved office the walls were covered in marks which I provided photo evidence. • Building Tour: We received only a brief tour of three offices before moving in and were unaware of fire exits, showers, and other facilities. • Signage: After three months, I had to inquire about our sign downstairs. • Cleanliness: The shower area was neglected, with a cubicle left uncleaned for over two weeks. The kitchen fridges had expired milk and mouldy fruit despite signs indicating weekly cleaning. • Meeting Disruptions: Due to an internal move, I worked across two floors and often found myself unintentionally part of video calls or one-on-one meetings while using the communal kitchen. • Deposit Return: I was unaware that the deposit had to be requested via the app. Although they claim it’s returned within 30 days, it actually takes 60 due to their payment schedules. • Renewal Issues: Despite the negative experience, I considered extending for six months but found my emails ignored and had to chase salespeople. When attempting to renew, they tried to significantly increase the price and had incorrect square footage on their floor plans which I measured myself. In summary, while there were some positive aspects, several issues need improvement. I hope this helps others make a more informed decision.
