Beautiful gym to work in. Investing in the best possible equipment makes such a difference to the performance of the machines - and me. Very uplifting environment, colours, fittings, plants, lighting, shower, dressing room etc makes it a calm and happy space. Absolutely everything you need to train well and the infrared sauna is an excellent addition. I've trained at every possible kind of gym and The Workshop Gym in Leigh-On-Sea is perfection: every element thoughtfully honed and they really take care of the space. A welcoming and friendly place. Absolutely worth the investment. If you also want to do personal training, I would recommend Leo & Marcus who are world class PTs. I've transformed what I'm capable of in the gym thanks to them. Incredibly knowledgeable, but so grounded in reality. Authentic coaching from nice people - such a lovely environment.

5 star gym in Leigh On Sea !! Perfect sized, independently managed and owned gym that has everything you need. Has by far the best equipment around, really high end kit that is comfortable to use. If you are looking for PT, then I’d highly recommend both Leo and Markus, they are both encouraging and supportive and have massively helped me progress and given me confidence. Lovely designed space and now with added benefit of sauna.

The Workshop gym in Leigh-on-Sea is by far the nicest gym in the area. It’s got a cool ‘Soho House’ vibe. The staff are extremely friendly and are always on hand to help.

The facilities are state of the art, with top-tier machines throughout, and the infrared sauna is a real highlight — perfect for recovery and overall wellbeing. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed, creating a space that you actually want to spend time. What truly sets The Workshop apart are the trainers. They are extremely competent, deeply knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, committed and passionate about what they do. Leo and Markus take the time to understand how to guide you to reach your potential — and often help you go beyond what you thought possible. The coaching feels intelligent, supportive, and tailored to the individual. It’s a gym that blends design, performance, and community beautifully.
