[Edit – Follow-up] Since posting this review, Dale, the store manager, reached out and acknowledged the issues I raised, particularly around the lack of communication and the mismatch in space allocation. He adjusted my billing to reflect the 35 sq m space I had originally intended to rent, and also refunded the difference from my initial overcharge. Importantly, Dale remained professional and supportive throughout the remainder of my contract, even though my review remained unchanged at the time. I recently vacated the unit and he was helpful right to the end. While my initial experience was frustrating, I appreciate the effort Dale made to take responsibility and resolve the matter constructively. A business or company is good, not because issues never arise, but if it does, then it is dealt with fairly and reasonably. ************** I used Space Station for storage this afternoon, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I initially booked a 20 sq m space, mainly for clothes, cutlery, and some small furniture. When I realized I might need more space, I called them and was told I could upgrade to a 25 or 35 sq m unit. The movers arrived, and after seeing my items, they suggested a 35 sq m unit might be necessary instead of the 25 I was considering, which was fine since they mentioned that a 35 was available. However, when I arrived at the unit, I was surprised to find that my belongings were placed in a much larger 50 sq m unit without my consent. As soon as the movers took the last item, I locked up the house and drove to the storage unit myself, planning to oversee the setup. It took me about 10 extra minutes to arrive due to a road closure, but that was all. When I got there, the movers were already coming out, as most of my items were not heavy/ large, aside from the sofa. I was handed the contract by Ethan and asked to sign for the 50 sq m unit, despite not having agreed to it. Curious, I asked to see the unit, and we went together. When we saw the unit, it was clear that space was being wasted. For example, a chair was left there with no boxes stacked on it, and the corner unit had nothing placed on it. There was plenty of room left, and despite me telling the movers that I could keep a few boxes in the car trunk if the 35 didn’t fit, the space was being poorly utilised. The included moving service was another reason I chose Space Station over StorageKing, thinking it would save me time and effort, but it ended up feeling like a strategy to push me into paying for a larger space than I needed. Ethan, the receptionist, didn’t seem interested in addressing my concerns, and his attitude towards optimizing the space was dismissive. Instead of helping resolve the issue, he simply handed me a contract to sign and dismissed the waste of space as not being their responsibility. I regret not sticking with my original plan of going with Storage King, where prices were 9/week for 35 sqm, compared to Space Station's 14/week. Space Station’s lack of attention to customer needs, poor customer service, and wasteful use of space makes me feel that they prioritize upselling over customer satisfaction.

We used these for a 10day period to help make a house move less stressful. They were very helpful and professional and even managed to sort us with a larger unit when I discovered the one we had booked was too small. Excellent service and security I would definitely use again if I ever need storage space in the future.

I utilised space station back in 2023 for a business, and have since moved back, into a larger unit! You can pay a little more on certain terms, but honestly the service and convenience is well worth every penny extra - from my point of view, it has a small dispatch area for goods in/out (don’t even need to be there for deliveries/collections), you can have power installed (at a cost), there are toilets (great for long shifts), but in all honesty, Dale, Ted and Ethan could literally not do any more for you - this was the same in 23, and has not changed at all since. A gaggle of good lads operating to an exceptional level…. Well done Just don’t increase my rent please….thanks
