Amazing community venue they serve amazing food with the weekday gigs and then have some spectacular club nights every weekend it’s a real hidden gem within Newcastle

First of all, it is a great venue: a very well-equipped stage and cool lighting. The performers are amazing too and the sound effects were good as well. I am rating it this low, because the people who work here are RACISTS. I arrived earlier, and the girl who checks tickets would not let me stay, and asked me to go to the cafe and wait until the door opens, but the bar was full of white people and empty seats, and it was raining outside, I honestly do not understand why they had to kick me out. Then I thought, 'Okay’, then I went to the cafe and waited for my friend, who is also Asian, and when she got there, we walked to the entrance when the door opened. There were three people before us are all white, and the girl who checked tickets was just smiling at them. Once it was our turn, she changed her face immediately, and she even forgot to give my friend a meal ticket (she bought a concert ticket with a meal). If this were just another accident then fine, I shall allow it, but my friend waited and waited, every other single person in the venue(who are white) got their meal already, yet my friend has not got one. It’s either someone did not tell her because they saw she’s an Asian and assumed she can not speak English or sth, or they just left her out intentionally. I felt so bad for my friend that she had to go ask for food twice by herself when everyone else had their food in hand, even if she prepaid like everyone else. It's not just the staff here are racist here, but the attendees too. Every time my friend left for the bathroom, or went to get a drink or food, someone would put their cup on her seat, or even try to sit there. I looked around many times, and nobody else was treated the same way we were treated tonight. I have been to quite a few bars/restaurants /venues, some of them are in Ouseburn, but this is the worst by far. I do not recommend any COLORED PEOPLE to come here, or else you will be mistreated. Again, great venue, but my friend and I had a terrible experience here, and I will never come back to this place ever again.

One can work here in the beautyful, inspiring co-working space. One can also flood the brain at great live shows. Furthermore one can meet a real great mind or even genius (e.g. the lunatic who spams, eh, decorates the walls with his/her slightly unsettling messages)
