This is such a great place to co-work. I have been a member for a year and a half and have just increased my membership to 3 days a week because I like it so much! There is a great community of people who come here to work, many in environment or socially focussed roles. People are always willing to help out if you've got a conundrum or question or just want someone to go to the pub with! There are loads of nice things on offer for members: smoothies, shared meals, guided meditations, and if you want to get involved in organising one of these things you can get a discount on your membership. The space itself has different working spaces depending on whether you like quiet or a bit of background chatter, and there are private phone booths to take calls, and sofas to take a coffee break. There's also a downstairs cafe open Tuesday to Thursday which serves delicious lunches from local pop-ups. It's in a great location in the city centre, and there's plenty of bike parking outside. It's how work-places should be: a great place to meet and connect with people, enjoy good food, drink and chat together, and actually enjoy coming to work!

I just decided to increase my membership at Union Street as it has been working for me so well. Really reasonable rates, which can be halved if you volunteer! Perhaps because of this, a pretty high number of members are in a few times a week, know each other and the place has a very collaborative and friendly atmosphere. There are activities or chances to socialise with others pretty much every day, whether that’s shared lunches, games or meditation breaks. Union Street has really exceeded my expectations for co-working.

Inexpensive, central, not plush. Would use again. Just what we needed for a 2 person 2hr meeting.

I’ve been using this co-working space for a couple of years and i really recommend it. Nice people, nice coffee, plenty of space to work. There are phone booths for remote meetings. The cafe lunch options are always really nice.
Yes, you can certainly take a tour of the space before signing up for a membership. In fact, it’s encouraged, to help you get a feel for what your workday will look like. Reach out here to set up a time to come and see the space.
18-20 Union Street operates during regular business hours, as indicated above. For access outside of these hours, please contact the operator directly to inquire about any available options.
Coworking spaces typically have limited storage options, most of which are reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices. With that said, it’s best to contact the coworking operator directly via the form on the right side of the page to learn about available storage options.
Whether you're a day pass holder or a monthly member, you can access most amenities. Meeting rooms do require prior scheduling, and private offices are reserved for those with subscriptions. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to all. Complimentary services are also available regardless of membership tier, while ancillary services can be purchased separately or negotiated with Union St.
For spontaneous collaboration and interaction, open desks provide an open and flexible environment. If you prefer a dedicated space with shared community elements, dedicated desks offer a great balance between personal space and interaction.
On the other hand, private offices are best suited for focused work and private interactions. They're ideal for solo workers as well as teams seeking a dedicated space, shielded from distractions.
Choosing the ideal coworking arrangement for you is about aligning your workspace with your work style, team dynamics, and project requirements.
