The apartments are nice, spacious, and clean, although they are on the pricey side. However, there is significant room for improvement at the brasserie. Both dinner and breakfast lacked flavour and were rather disappointing. We also paid for a late check-out and were disappointed to find that it was only until 1:00 pm, despite the website advertising a 2:00 pm check-out.

I originally sent the following feedback directly to the management team in the hope they would address my concerns, but after receiving no response, I feel compelled to share my experience publicly. I recently booked a Junior Manicure and Pedicure at The Barn for my mum as a treat. Unfortunately, what should have been a relaxing and enjoyable experience turned out to be very disappointing. From the outset, the therapist commented that she was not particularly a fan of feet, which seemed an odd and unprofessional thing to say during a pedicure. Throughout both treatments, she also repeatedly mentioned that she did not enjoy doing nails, which made us feel uncomfortable and did little to inspire confidence in the service being provided. The treatments themselves felt rushed and lacked attention to detail. The filing on both the hands and feet was uneven, there was very little cuticle work carried out, and no moisturisers, oils, creams, or finishing products were applied at any stage. My mum was also only offered a very limited selection of nail colours despite a much larger range being visibly available. The pedicure was particularly uncomfortable, with my 63-year-old mum having to rest her feet on the therapist's knees throughout the treatment. When the manicure was finished, only a single clear top coat was applied, no drying device was used, and the appointment was over in around 40 minutes. What disappointed us most was the overall lack of care, attention, and professionalism. My mum left feeling deflated rather than pampered, which was upsetting as the appointment had been intended as a special treat for her. As someone who has often heard China Fleet praised for its high standards and customer service, this experience fell far below expectations. Had management acknowledged or responded to my original email, I may have felt differently, but being completely ignored has only added to my disappointment. Based on this experience, I would not recommend The Barn for manicure or pedicure treatments. This version is written in a review style, is more concise, and highlights that you attempted to resolve the issue privately before posting publicly.
