Only had a drink on the terrace which has great views over the beach. The hotel does look very nice inside.
Just wanted to add that I had a massage yesterday at Watergate Bay Hotel with Sade, its a standard thing for me to book when visiting the bay, we're staying at the Village just behind the hotel which is really really nice, we're staying in Ivey. anyway, a superb massage, relaxing yet firm, thank you Sade and hope your 40th birthday goes well. we booked in on a spa day as not staying in the hotel, have to say a drink and a main meal in with the booking was reasonable, use of the pool included too, a great day all in all. just a thought here that over the years the menu's have become as far from local to a beach can be imo, in years gone by you could get nacho's, pizza, sea food pasta but it seems its catering for seasoned "high end food critics" and not holiday makers who may want the reasonable basics the beach hut used to offer, Tuesday afternoon lunch and the hotel was near empty, weather was great too. Its a great place to visit tho, a great location, its not a huge criticism about the food because the Thai fish curry in the Living Space was superb, just an observation. We actually miss the vibe of Watchful Mary and the chance to sit on the sea wall having cocktail, The Menu at Zachry fries the brain, never actually seen many people go in there but a may be wrong, hopefully! I know you shouldn't go back, but if we could, circa 2015-1018 beach hut and living space was THE place, It was what Wax up the road is today Well done anyway Guys Ian
