Such a lovely co-working space. It’s really well equipped with a focused but friendly environment. Absolutely ideal, I really look forward to my days working here (and so do my clients, probably, because I get so much work done!)

Well done Elliot for creating such a warm and welcoming office space! This is the perfect place for anyone running their own business or working from home who wants to experience an office environment again. There is always a great mix of people working here, and always someone to grab a coffee and a chat in the kitchen with. It's central location makes it ideal for popping out at lunchtime and Royston has a great range of eateries and sandwich shops. The soundproofed booths are ideal for private online work meetings and in the office itself there is a lovely blend of quiet time to get your head down, interspersed with occasional chats with other workers. I really enjoy using this facility as it breaks the week up and I always feel welcome and comfortable. Highly recommended!!

Ended up here by accident after a train had to terminate at Royston. Common Grind was an absolute life saver, and Elliot could not have been kinder or more helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, modern space with character and laid-back yet respectful hosts. I would also recommend it to anyone looking for a backup if their train is delayed, though I'll be sure to come back again even if not!

I find a trip to Common Grind for the day really helps break up the monotony of home working and focuses the mind. Elliot is a great host, the other users are all really friendly and the environment is positive. And Elliot's coffees are great! I thoroughly recommend this valuable Royston co-working space. Elliott provides a friendly and great working environment with strong Wi-Fi, a pleasant office set-up, Quiet phone-booths and of course decent coffee. We are able to work fully within the office area and enhances the service we can provide to all our worldwide clients without exception. A godsend for sure and at a decent rate ....why wouldn't you want to use it!? Dave & Mitch Sanctuary ICS

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.

It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Common Grind, who is more than happy to help out.

  • Yes, you can certainly take a tour of the space before signing up for a membership. In fact, it’s encouraged, to help you get a feel for what your workday will look like. Reach out here to set up a time to come and see the space.

  • Most coworking space amenities are open to all members, regardless of the membership plan. Meeting rooms require prior reservation, and private offices are exclusively available to those with subscription packages. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to everyone. Complimentary amenities are also available to all, while ancillary services can be purchased or negotiated individually with Common Grind.

  • Common Grind - UPTON House operates during regular business hours, which are listed above. For any requests or requirements outside of these hours, please contact the coworking operator directly.

  • The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.

A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.

It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.
