For a big station it's unbelievably grotty. Nowhere warm to sit and wait unless you buy a coffee or such. Even those close at 20:30. Prices of food and drink are a rip off, especially as they're all takeaways. Deary me,what would Brunel think?

Bristol is best visited with a city tour on a double-decker bus.

Large station in the center of Bristol with an area for a taxi rank, easy access to Bristol Airport via shuttle and about a 15 minute walk into town or you can catch the regular buses. Great location, although it has that signature 'sell food and drink at ludicrous prices' thing going on, but thankfully, there's a Wetherspoons down the road. Can be stupid busy and stupid cold, so wrap up warm and plan ahead in the winter months.

GWR’s officially condoned version of compassion is: The train driver and platform manager standing in front of the train, watching passengers sprinting at full pelt to catch the train at the time it was due to depart (10:42). It was only ten minutes later they announced a 25 minute delay due to waiting for late train crew. The driver and platform staff knew this the entire time, but it’s clearly part of the job’s entertainment. Managers should check the CCTV for this one so they can have a giggle as well.
