I visited The Hive today at the volunteer centre, I wasn't sure what I was looking to do and was helped and given advice from all members of the team. I signed up for 3 different roles so hopefully I will be volunteering soon. Thanks everyone

Absolutely love the HIVE! They were instrumental in helping us set up our charity and have been consistently supportive since. Everyone's so friendly and welcoming and, just as they don't have a bad word to say about anyone, I can't think of anything negative to say about them...

Actually quite a horrible experience. Made me feel useless when I tried to volunteer after longterm illness. Were funny about my references when other places were fine about them and actually lied about what I had said. Changed their specifications and made me feel like an axe murderer! I have many years experience working with vulnerable people but just wanted to give something back. Never mind, I went elsewhere to people who value volunteers. Avoid.

Went to ask for help for a friend from church ! As he is disabled and couldn’t get to get his PIP and needed help with getting around on public transport ( bus pass) and met a lovely lady name Jo from Hive Portsmouth and she called up the correct ppl better than the council just passing us around ! Although the guy at the counter did sent me to Kestrel Center … Glad I was passed on to her by Kestrel ( forgot ladies name & reception that was helpful! ) at least they helped instead of letting two disabled person do a run about ! Thanks Hive (Jo) for the great help ! Well done and should have more center and ppl like her ! Thanks again.
Whether you need a short-term workspace solution or something more permanent, HIVE Portsmouth - Paulsgrove Housing Office has you covered. Meeting Rooms are available by the hour. But you can book Day Passs for an entire day. Additionally, Dedicated Desks can be booked on a monthly basis.
Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with HIVE Portsmouth.
Coworking spaces typically have limited storage options, most of which are reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices. With that said, it’s best to contact the coworking operator directly via the form on the right side of the page to learn about available storage options.
Flexibility is the cornerstone of coworking, so you always have the option to adjust your workspace to match your current needs. With month-to-month memberships, you can effortlessly upgrade, downgrade, or even switch between different coworking plans.
While the standard practice is to change memberships only once the current one ends, HIVE Portsmouth may be able to offer additional options, so it’s best to reach out to their staff directly.
