The more I go the more louder and crowder it becomes lol hence the more less of a time I spend in there, it seems to have become a social hun for the younger generation it's not really a library anymore tbh

I was waiting for my car MOT and nipped into Oldham centre, must be 30+ years since I was last there , never been in the library and gallery. I was very impressed. The building and many of the surrounding ones are very fine examples of Victorian structures.

Popped into Oldham Library for a kids' craft session and was so impressed by the "Forgotten Army" event. It was a brilliant tribute by the Royal British Legion to the Indian soldiers and ethnic minority volunteers who served in the World Wars. Even though we missed the main talk, the staff were incredibly welcoming and even offered us food. The kids had a great time coloring in the planes and were thrilled with the toy jets they got to take home. It’s so important to see this history being recognized and celebrated in our community. Massive credit to everyone involved for putting this together!
