Great location 👌
We’ve stayed in this travelodge before and all has been fine, but it seems to have gone quite downhill in the last year unfortunately. Staff are absolutely lovely, no fault on them at all. Unfortunately, the rooms were very run down and did not feel clean. Our first room, the sink was completely blocked, so we had to move rooms. (Staff were very accommodating here!) Other issues included holes in bedding and marks all over the walls The second room we had all seemed fine. However, we didn’t have a proper look until we came back after a concert. The bed seemed fine, however, the toilet clearly had not been cleaned properly as there was feces on the toilet seat (!!!how does that even happen?). Unfortunately, we will not be returning here as it is concerning that would go amiss.
Stayed from 7th-14th July visiting family, the city and surrounding areas. Cameron on reception and Irene on the bar were particularly helpful but all the staff were friendly. Located perfectly for amenities and public transport for us. We even took in the Lord Mayor's Parade while we were there.
Clean, staff friendly but hotel room is beyond basic. Homeless man asleep in the lobby and the buses behind the hotel might be the LOUDEST and most continuous sound. Ongoing heatwave, no A/C or fans provided so you have to have the window open (small crack) to try and keep the room cool. Would not come back
The hotel is fine, just a bit run down in places. Room was ok, perfectly acceptable.
