DON'T BOTHER WITH EXECUTIVE LOUNGE. We booked with TUI and decided to go via the execs lounge but what a dump.
When you travel a great deal, you sort have certain expectations the execs lounge is not one of those places and to be insulted by the mature woman looking down her nose at everyone that entered that morning I felt embarrassed for her.
The Lounge completes the terminal and proves that NWI will never be anything more than what it is. For the past 25 years airlines have left and all they have retained for Norfolk (the passengers ) in lieu of it is 3 Ryanair flights with £10 departure fee per person still to pay. Put that money towards train fair or taxi and your flight will be even cheaper from STN.
Back to the so called execs lounge which we paid £60 to sit in for an hour to have 2 coffees . It contains worn out seats and plastic flowers, staffed on this day by a senior woman who has no customer service skills and disliked talking that much she scoured at you when she looked up.
At breakfast time, you can get a small selection of cereals, after that NOTHING.
You are limited to a packet of crisps or biscuits coffee, tea and mini cold drinks.
Alcohol is limited and restricted to 2 drinks which you physically have to ask for. We refused as you have to be 18 to get in there so it shows how tight they have become.
This was my 2nd review in the hope the airport had improved since 2017, sadly not.
Norwich Airport ( delete the international please ).
Norwich Airport before the pandemic could no longer could be classed as international as the KLM AMSTERDAM flights they where providing where very hit and miss. To add insult to injury instead of putting the cancelled flights under the KLM cancelled name they put it under the flight share name to appease KLM
To add insult to injury as the passengers are unable to get BA/Air Europa flights in during normal times the moment Norwich Airport can get some money for being the biggest car park for aircraft in East Anglia With the BA planes Air Europa Norwegian and other old stored aircraft there is in excess of 35/40 parked aircraft they open up the doors and let everyone come in. I only pray apart from charging for storage they have come to a deal to allow for BA flights to fly from Norwich otherwise it shows how easy it was for BA to walk over NWI and greedy they where for the money.
8 years later, no BA flights and proved that NWI went on the greed offensive by doing deals with the devil and not planning for the longer term. How can they call themselves NWI when since then they have sold every department off to 3rd party companies from Security, passenger handling, Ramp, tanker drivers, cleaners and even management have now been sold off which is why you no longer see travel Norwich Airport shops.
