This is the place to be for co-working in Manchester. Situated right next to - and above - the Central Library, the location is unbeatable. It’s heavily subsidised and supported by the government, making it incredible value for money, especially given the prime city centre spot. Free trials are also available for startups and those living within Manchester City Council, making it even more accessible. The atmosphere is welcoming and community-focused, with a good mix of freelancers, creatives, and remote workers. They offer free coffee and snacks, and regularly host workshops and events that make it easy to learn, connect, and collaborate. If you’re looking for an affordable, high-quality co-working space with genuine community vibes, Generator is the one. Emma, Samantha, Gaelle and the rest of the team are outstanding - helpful, friendly and always making the space feel like home.

The Generator is an amazing hot desk space for productivity. All the staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming! I am delighted and grateful to have the opportunity to work at The Generator. The entrepreneur events they host here are also perfect for start-ups.

Having used this space for a quite few months now, it’s been incredible. The team working the Generator are super friendly and quick to sort anything out. Clean, modern, great facilities for remote work, Fast Wifi, and never too busy. Highly recommend

Storage in coworking spaces can be limited, with most of it reserved for members with dedicated desks and private offices. However, you can reach out to the coworking operator using the form on the right side of the page to see what options are currently available.
Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Generator Manchester.
The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.
A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.
It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.
