I have been a workspace tenant for over a decade. I recently made the decision to give notice to workspace and move elsewhere. After over 10 years of paying a premium rent no one has contacted me to ask why I am leaving or if I would stay. There is no consistent management or care of this building. There are not enough toilets to accommodate the number of tenants in the building. Whilst trying to encourage your team to work from the office on a number of days to justify rent, staff have to queue for around ten minutes to use the toilets at peak times. The building has recently been left with power outages that meant we have lost work and data as well as having to send staff home. Zero credit or compensation has been offered. Today the entire underinvested sewage system basically exploded and only by my team attempting to use every toilet in the building was I then aware that no toilets or kitchen facilities were available in the building. I went to the ‘management’ office to enquire what the situation was to be made to feel a total inconvenience on a Friday and told that the bathrooms will soon be redecorated… (paint doesn’t stop underinvested sewage systems or toilets that don’t flush) There are far better office options available across London. As loyal workspace tenants your rent will only increase, new tenants are offered discounts and furniture packages. The market has changed. Workspace has not. Feeding workspace shareholders profits is front and centre. Also check your terms and conditions as they are not as flexible as they used to be and as per many other reviews of workspace I expect it will be a long battle to get our hefty deposit back.

I had a workshop space here back in the 1980's when it was a building full of so many silversmiths, jewellers, book binders, watchmakers - it buzzed with creativity... now you can just hear the tap tap tap of keyboards.
