Tiff is the glue that holds this building together. What would we do without her! It makes my day when I walk through reception and see her. Anything we need Tiff always sorts us out. Would recommend Riley studios to anyone!

I have witnessed someone who ultimately had to cease trading and leave the country being pursued in a way that I found disproportionate and deeply concerning. Watching how that situation was handled fundamentally changed my view of this business. My concerns are not limited to that incident. In my experience, there have also been recurring practical problems with the day-to-day management of the building, including unreliable key-fob access, reception not always being available when needed, and generally inconsistent organisation. Furthermore, some members are lacking in self awareness, behave incredibly inconsiderately (along with their barking dog). Taken together, these issues have made the operation feel considerably less professional than expected, if it sounds like a farm in the background of a call, why not just stay in a coffee shop instead of being here. What concerned me most, however, was seeing how matters were handled when things did not go according to plan for someone running a business there. Entrepreneurship inevitably involves risk, and sometimes businesses fail. I witnessed attempts being made in good faith to resolve the situation, but what followed left a lasting impression on me. That matters because a workspace aimed at entrepreneurs is selling more than desks and office space. It is also selling an environment, a community and, implicitly, a culture in which people feel supported while taking the risks involved in building a business. Based on what I witnessed, there seems to me to be a significant gap between that proposition and the reality when circumstances become difficult. Riley Studios has considerable potential, but I think Spacemade needs to decide what it wants places like this to represent. If the proposition is community and entrepreneurship, that should be reflected not only when businesses are succeeding, but also in how people are treated when things go wrong. Hopefully they try and figure out what their USP is soon, because as current, it isn’t great.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.

A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.

It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.

  • Spacemade - Riley Studios is open during regular business hours listed above. For any other requirements, make sure to contact the operator directly.

  • While storage in coworking spaces is generally limited, and mostly reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices, you should always check with the coworking operator about additional storage solutions. Fill out the form on the right side of the page to reach out to them and learn all about the available options.

  • Adaptability is at the core of coworking, so membership options are always designed to cater to your changing work requirements and team dynamics. Most spaces offer month-to-month memberships, enabling you to adjust your workspace to your changing needs. Whether your business is growing or downsizing – or you just want to upgrade to a more private setting – you always have the flexibility to make the changes you need.

While your membership agreement may have specific terms regarding changes, don’t hesitate to reach out to Spacemade to discuss accommodating your adjustments.

  • Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Spacemade.
