For this hotel, I'll write my review in chronological order:
We booked one night at this hotel, which at first glance looks nice and quite modern, recently renovated, and feels comfortable.
The neighborhood is very lively. It's certainly not the best area of London, but you don't feel unsafe, and there are tons of restaurants on the street. Plus, the subway is a 5-minute walk away, which is very convenient.
The reception was adequate, but nothing special. Not very friendly, but quite efficient and quick.
Now let's talk about the room... First of all, the "classic" room is quite large; there's plenty of space to store our suitcases and belongings.
The bed is against the wall, which isn't a problem... unless you ignore the fact that you can hear absolutely everything that's going on outside. Seriously, double glazing? Do you even know what that is in England? Cars, construction work, even conversations between passersby—you can hear EVERYTHING! Bring earplugs because without them, it's IMPOSSIBLE to sleep.
Furthermore, imagine my surprise when I saw that the shower was literally INSIDE the bathroom. Yes, INSIDE.
That means when you take a shower, you spray the sink and the toilet at the same time. And if someone wants to use the toilet afterward, they'll end up with wet feet.
Finally, the bed is as hard as concrete; you might as well sleep on the sidewalk.
HOWEVER, the hotel breakfast is plentiful and very good. 👀
In short, the hotel is cool, but it's not amazing, especially for the price.
