I have to agree with the other negative review on here. My impression of Ishmael is that he is not knowledgable and has very poor communication skills.

Ishmael from IB&Co reached out to me with the onset of LCAG (retrospective tax enforcement on IT/NHS contractors by HMRC). Ishmael gave me assurances he would fight my case and get me information required he gave me an upfront fee that I duly paid. On occassion him and me would miss a few calls - however several months passed by and that was the last I heard of him. On 4x different occassions I chased and he assured me letters had been sent, then he questioned me on a letter I sent back to HMRC when he wasn't available to help. Needless to say I was constantly chasing him for updates - the ultimate worry was the fact I had to keep reminding him the details of the case despite sending him all the emails and attachements and correspondence. I suspect he felt I was small cheese to his business and I wasn't getting the service I paid for. The last time I chased he invited me over to his office at Canada One - nice building, small room. He then hinted at more money and at this point alarm bells are going off in my head. He has done nothing to help me so far and I feel that I have done most of the work myself and with the volunteering LCAG group members who provide advice for free. Never did hear anything else since that meeting. Shame. Never promise what you can't deliver. Never be too humble to admit when your wrong.
