I visited this coffee shop specifically because it is advertised as a workspace club, so unfortunately I was quite disappointed with my experience.
When I tried to go upstairs, the barista stopped me and told me that I could only sit in the lounge or outside. At no point was I informed that there was an option to purchase a day pass to access the dedicated working space, which I would have happily considered had it been explained to me.
I then chose a quiet table in the corner under the stairs. There was no sign indicating that laptops were not allowed in that area, yet the barista approached me again and told me that I could not use my laptop there either.
I completely understand that different areas may have different rules, especially if certain spaces are reserved for members or day-pass holders. However, if a venue actively advertises itself as a workspace club, I would expect the available workspace options and laptop restrictions to be clearly communicated to customers rather than simply being told where they cannot sit or work.
Unfortunately, the whole experience felt unwelcoming and confusing, particularly as I had chosen the venue specifically because I was looking for somewhere to work from my laptop.
