Really lovely place with a great atmosphere. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed. It has a nice neighbourhood feel to it and is exactly the sort of place you’re happy to have on your doorstep. Will certainly be back.
Roast was good but not top tier. Portions large, but the main issue is the foot wasn't cooked at high enough temperature. Neither the potatoes, pork nor chicken skin was crispy unfortunately. Yorkshire, veggies and gravy all good. Service really good. Quality to price ratio is off though.
Everything was amazing from start to finish
We used to love SW16, but in coming for dinner over the summer, since it changed to The Hill pub, we were pretty disappointed with the food. We ordered the fish and chips and the burger. Though we couldn't fault the taste of either meal (they were both good), the presentation of both was really underwhelming. The burger in particular was served in a squashed looking bun with just a metal cup of chips next to it - completely beige, and on an oversized plate that added to how sad it looked. We did order a side of greens too, but both meals (especially the burger) really need something fresh on the plate. A few salad leaves or something would really help make both meals look more appetising and less like plates full of beige. The pub itself is still a nice place to go to and the staff are very friendly (I recently enjoyed a drink there when it hosted a film night during the Streatham Film Festival). I hope this feedback on the food is helpful so that the presentation of the meals can be improved.
Shame the previous place closed down. The food here is average at best. Overpriced & very average. A real shame in all honesty as Streatham needs a decent bat - this is definitely not a pub. All so very average Not surprised seeing as it’s owned by the same people behind the Exhibit in Balham. The food at the Exhibit is awful. Hopefully they’ll improve but I won’t be holding my breath

However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member.
