Went for lunch with a colleague this week. This is a good place for a drinking but definitely NOT for eating. The food is terrible. And if you are interested in conversation, be prepared to shout a lot as the audio is on 'LOUD". The effusive reviews on the website must be considered 'suspicious'.

What a lush place!!!! I come here regularly to work throughout the day, and have coffee and eat food (which is always SO delicious) and the staff are sooooo friendly and kind. Loved it when it was SW16 and I love it now as The Hill. highly recommend!!!!!

We went there last Sunday to try the Sunday roast, as we had never been before. Due to medical reasons, I wanted to order a kids’ roast because I can’t eat large portions. My wife also wasn’t very hungry, so she wanted a smaller portion as well. We simply didn’t want to waste food. We wanted to order a kids’ chicken roast for me, a kids’ beef roast for my wife, and fish and chips for our son. When I ordered at the bar, I was told they couldn’t sell kids’ meals to adults because of a “law” stating that restaurants don’t pay tax on children’s meals, so they can’t serve them to adults. We eat out almost every weekend and have done so for years, and this is the first time we’ve ever been refused the option to buy a kids’ meal for ourselves. The food was good, but unfortunately we won’t be returning. To The Hill: There is no law preventing you from selling children’s portions to adults. This is simply your business policy. Please remember that customers may have many valid reasons for ordering smaller portions, such as medical conditions, bariatric surgery, dieting, reduced appetite, or simply wanting to avoid food waste. Please see photo how much food end up in the bin!
