Let me start by saying the therapists renting rooms are lovely. However, I worked here for just under 6 months and was called a senior staff member by management which shows how fast turnover is for front of house staff. Management has screwed over front of house staff with incorrect and late payments every month. They are disrespectful and dishonest. Do not give them any of your money as they overcharge clients and under pay staff while treating them poorly. I am still owed wages but will be shocked if they ever pay me based on other reviews.

Cura Rooms does not respect any employee rights, the management is toxic, does not pay salaries and does not know how to communicate honestly with employees. If an employee asks for his rights, he is fired from his job. This is happening right now. This company should be sued by every employee whose rights have been violated!!!!

WARNING: Anyone considering working for/with Cura Rooms DON’T DO IT!! I was employed there and had to take them to court. Even after winning my tribunal claim for unpaid wages, Cura Rooms, Amy Witchalls/Mohammed have still not paid me and continue to ignore my emails. My earned wages and additional compensation totaling £2,021.50 remain unpaid. During my time there, I received excellent feedback from therapists/clients, yet despite my contributions, Cura Rooms management, Amy Witchalls/Mohammed has refused to pay me or even provide a payslip. Stop hiring POC/anyone else who you know you can manipulate into working long, unsustainable hours, then forcing them out with no pay or communication. It’s a shame that a mental health business is treating staff this way, as it is negatively impacting the mental health of ex-employees. (minus 100 stars)

This is my review as a therapist hiring a room at CuraRooms. I can’t speak for the individual practitioners working from this location, but my experience with the company itself has been consistently disappointing. The rooms are nicely presented and make a good first impression, but the underlying maintenance and professionalism are sorely lacking. I was promised dimmer switches in January to address the harsh lighting; six months later, nothing had been done. Cleanliness and general upkeep are below standard. Chairs already show visible wear, bins are not emptied consistently, and bottles or other items are often left behind in rooms between bookings. There are visible signs of damp across the building, occasional rust, and little evidence of regular maintenance. The building itself is poorly suited to therapeutic work. Rooms at the front are extremely noisy due to heavy traffic on City Road and single glazing. Those at the back are quieter, but there’s virtually no soundproofing throughout the premises. Voices and laughter carry easily between rooms, and conversations from sessions can be clearly overheard from the stairwell. For a therapy centre, this is a serious concern. The reception team was consistently kind, but the sheer rate of staff changes (both front-of-house and back-office) was remarkable. This constant churn disrupted continuity and reflects poorly on the organisation’s stability and management. The administrative side was frankly appalling. Their Marylebone location shut down with no notice just before my contract was due to begin, forcing me to rebook everything at Angel. I provided clear written instructions, which their staff confirmed and acknowledged. Despite this, they failed to issue the amended contract they’d explicitly promised, and later attempted to charge me for an additional month that had never been agreed or booked. I requested escalation to management multiple times; nothing happened. It took hours of chasing, explaining, and compiling written evidence before the invoice was finally corrected. It should never have required this level of effort. At no point did anyone offer an apology. Ultimately, CuraRooms made it very clear they simply don’t care. If you’re looking for a well-managed, professional, and truly confidential space to practise from, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
