Rooms tiny, air con hard to control either too hot or too cold. Tiny fridge (ridicules). Constant rumble of the tube underneath, no views! No restaurant on site have to use Bella Italia 2mins walk away, mediocre breakfast. Location great lots of bars and restaurants near next to main station hub. Would we stay here again, probably not, we stayed at the Mecure Hyde Park last time and the rooms were much bigger spacially. Receptionist Abdul was very helpful.
In need of one night in Paddington, the Mercure right next to the station fitted the bill. So, location and staff were great, size of room (apparently standard) was disappointing for price. No USB in room so had to go out to buy converter. However, drinks in the room were free, including a couple of welcome Fererro Roche. As an Accor member, welcome drink at small reception bar was restricted to just a soft drink, alcohol at a price. We did not opt for breakfast but learnt that the site restaurant closed and it was being served in a Bella Pasta down a nearby street. Plenty of other options, my recommendation is Farm Girl in nearby Market Halls. Think I have been staying in too many Accor up market hotels. All said and done, quite suitable for one night stay.
