We were genuine Revolut fans. Personal account since 2019, business account for our Paris property management company, dozens of friends and business partners referred, early adopters of the cashback beta. We recommended Revolut to everyone. Not anymore. On 25 September, with no warning, no phone call and not a single document requested for our business account, Revolut froze everything overnight: no card payments, so our whole team has no card for the expenses they make every day on behalf of our clients; every incoming transfer is rejected, while hundreds of our listings, platforms and property owners have our Revolut IBAN; no withdrawals, no transfers between Revolut accounts. The official reason is a vague "we couldn't verify the information on file". On paper we have two months before closure. In practice the account is dead from day one, so the "notice period" is meaningless. We are a licensed, insured real-estate company. We are not even asking to stay: we asked for one month with a working account so we could move banks properly. Customer support's answer was "the decision is final", "we can't accept documents", "open a complaint form", with no timeline. Now we face dozens of hours tracking bounced payments and reconfiguring hundreds of listings, all because of one automated decision nobody at Revolut will explain or take responsibility for. If you run a real business, do not make Revolut your main bank. It works great, until one day it doesn't, and then there is no human to talk to.
My experience with Revolut has been extremely negative and financially damaging. After around four years, I have lost a significant amount of money and completely lost trust in this platform. I am especially concerned about Revolut’s crypto and investment services. Based on my personal experience, I strongly suspect that automated systems and AI-driven mechanisms may be involved in ways that work against customers and contribute to financial losses. I believe this deserves an independent investigation. I strongly advise customers to be extremely cautious, consider withdrawing from Revolut’s investment and crypto services, document everything carefully, and file formal complaints if they have experienced similar problems. I regret trusting this platform with my money and would not recommend it.
