2 aspects of this company that are abysmal: 1. Customer safety and security- as per previous 1 star reviews, I have also used revolut since 2018 and have had multiple issues when bank transfers go missing for a few days or get delayed due to 'technical issues'. I use a lot of cross- border payments with Revolut and while transferring between revolut accounts is more often than not seamless, if using any other banks, there is often issues with the transfers. unfortunately I have started looking at other options such as Tide or Wise because revolut simply only cares about money and making a profit and not their core business- i.e looking after their customers. This has also been an issue with a revolut pro (business account) when one of my business partners lost access to the bank account for 2 days last week and wasnt able to transfer money or receive payments for48 hours, with very little communication or help from Revolut. 2. Recruitment- I have over 15 years experience in financial crime prevention across top tier banks and I was approached by revolut recruitment team in April 2026 to interview for one of their roles. After gruelling 2 months; multiple stages and really long wait in between stages (2-3 weeks), I got a very polite but not very constructive feedback and a PFO. I dont mind rejection if I am not right for the job, there has been better candidates or I didnt do well in the interview. That is fine with me - just communicate the feedback. To not have any constructive feedback and just a standard copy and paste response, is just poor form and communication. Overall, I am trying to move my services and money away from revolut , just to save myself some hassle and a few grey hairs ***update to respond to revolut's response- the transactions have now been resolved , so there is nothing to look into anymore***

My experience has been good. Revolut is good for exchange conversion to other currencies and also to send foreign currencies abroad.

Avoid at all costs! This so-called “bank” closed my account without explanation and with zero transparency. Revolut informed me that my account would be closed in 60 days, but immediately disabled use of the account and card. In practice, the account was effectively closed at that very moment, with only transfers to another bank account remaining available. Just imagine being abroad and suddenly losing every practical ability to use your own money — no card payments, no normal account access, and no meaningful warning. I couldn't buy my medicine, missed my train and had my hotel canceled due to malfunctioning Revolut. Revolut never provided any meaningful reason for the closure. I repeatedly asked for at least the general category of the decision — verification, compliance, sanctions, security, fraud, an authority instruction or internal risk policy. Instead, I received only generic phrases such as “legal and regulatory obligations”, “security and compliance policies” and “the decision is final”. I submitted three formal complaints to Revolut, and Revolut has not answered a single one of them. Even if Revolut genuinely could not disclose precise reason for closing the account, there was absolutely no reason not to warn me properly in advance before disabling access to my money. Telling a customer that the account will close in 60 days while making it unusable immediately is not meaningful notice. The process was also internally contradictory. After the closure notification, Revolut requested an additional document, confirmed that it appeared to meet the requirements and said it was pending review. No outcome was ever provided. Later, Revolut claimed that the same document had already been included in the completed review. One agent eventually acknowledged a “clear contradiction in the timeline”, but Revolut still refused to explain what had actually happened. My personal impression is that this “bank” is largely governed by automated systems and algorithms that even its own support staff do not understand or control. Nobody could explain what triggered the closure, when the decision was made or why contradictory information was being provided. That means customers cannot know what an algorithm may suddenly decide to do with their account or access to their money. A regulated bank should not be able to restrict an account immediately, refuse to provide even a general explanation, give contradictory information and then ignore formal complaints. In my experience, Revolut offers no meaningful transparency or accountability when something serious happens. UPD. Their bot appears under every negative post with the same formal message, asking to email them so they can fix the case. I emailed them many times, but nothing ever happened. This only further confirms the accuracy of my review.

I think it’s completely unreasonable that they charge you for sending money between accounts. No other banks do this!!!
