Great for families
Some interesting parts of space exploration displayed, highlighting the British contributions. The attraction however, gets a bit vague when it attempts to shoehorn in why Leicester is the suitable host for such an attraction. It also seems to have leaned heavily into being a family attraction, with dinosaur displays etc, rather than a serious planetarium. Ticket prices plus £4 for parking, is bloody steep.
Very rude staff. After visiting the nearby museum, I happened to walk by. Curious about space, I went to the entrance and politely asked what was being done there and if I could take a look around the entrance area (it had "University of Leicester" written on it in large letters, so I assumed it was a public building). I was extremely rudely told that this was private property and that I should leave. If a research institution treats interested members of the public like this, I don't want to know how they operate...
The procedure was clear.
