I book a hot desk to break up my working week which would otherwise just be me on my own at home. There’s a growing community of lovely people all doing the same there now, so plenty of good company which makes a big difference. It’s great value, facilities excellent, never any problems with things like Wi-Fi, it’s spacious, there’s a well equipped kitchen, nice breakout room, meeting room etc., and the staff super friendly and helpful.

The team at Bay Business Community went out of their way to accommodate me despite my very short notice that I needed somewhere to work while stopping over a weekend. Everyone I met, both co-workers and staff, were friendly and fun to chat to. I do tend to frequent co-working spaces often as I travel for work and this place is the only place I've chosen to review - so you can read into that what you will. The interior is nice, layout is well thought out and the coffee/kitchen area is a nice feature. If I still lived in Lancaster then I would use this place as a permanent base.

Bay Business Centre could not have been more helpful in my hour of need while on holiday in the dales- I needed to deliver a presentation on the very day our cottage wifi went down. Bay Business Centre were a total lifesaver- I wish I lived near by and I could use them all the time.

Since lock down I found that working from home had its own pitfalls, Interruptions, family visits, “can you just do this for me” scenario. I found that working from home also meant I as working longer hours because I was not being as productive, and it had a great mental strain on me. I have been working from the Bay Business centre now for over 6 months. I have found that my work productivity has increased. When coming in to the office and sitting at my desk I feel that I am at work, I have no interruptions and can fully focus on the day ahead. I have have a better mental state of mind and I have found that I’m so much happier. When I come home I can leave work behind. When I worked at home this was never the case. The facilities at the Bay Business community centre is amazing. You have a receptionist. You can use the board rooms for interviews. The other businesses in the offices are friendly and helpful. Free coffee and tea. They have a shower and changing facilities if you cycle to work. If you wish to take a lunch break they have a kitchen and breakout room. I have a fixed desk. I have set up 2 permanent monitors and have a printer and paper included in my membership. I would be lost without the work environment I now have. Best of all the cost of the desk is tax deductible. Would I rather pay the tax man the money or have an amazing work place. If you struggle working from home this is a no brainer. Its well worth a visit, and Pippa the manager of the Bay Business community is so friendly and helpful. Would I recommend have a desk at By Business Community? Definitely!!

We love using the facilities at Bay Business Community. As an organisation that has a team of remote staff members stretching across the North West, it is important to meet for regular face-to-face meetings. We often use the 'Zoom Room' allowing us to host hybrid meetings with internal and external colleagues. The facilities are clean & well maintained, the fancy coffee machine is a nice bonus. Yes, you can certainly take a tour of the space before signing up for a membership. In fact, it’s encouraged, to help you get a feel for what your workday will look like. Storage in coworking spaces can be limited, with most of it reserved for members with dedicated desks and private offices. However, you can reach out to the coworking operator using the form on the right side of the page to see what options are currently available.
5A Thurnham Street has a 24/7 availability that comes with a monthly membership. Hourly and day passes usually only allow for access during regular business hours.
Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Bay Business Community.
