if you like having your results back on time, definitely don't go here. The lack of communication on the university's end regarding delayed results is pitiful.

After completing a degree apprenticeship in electrical/electronic engineering at UoP I can safely say it was one of my worst education experiences. It was poorly organised, I hadn’t received a uni email or a student ID or a time table until my 3rd week at uni. The grades from exams and coursework were locked after a month so I couldn’t review them later in the year. The worst thing ? I was refused a graduation ceremony even though I passed based on a technicality with the EPA. They had integrated and non integrated, I was placed on a non integrated pathway without me or my company being notified at any point during the year course. Only to find out via peers that I can’t graduate until I complete my EPA. The caveat? I’m not allowed to start my EPA until my university grades have been verified, this doesn’t happen until the graduation cutoff date. It was physically impossible for anyone to do this. It’s extremely disappointing to hear I’m not allowed to graduate after doing the final year and lots of hard work. Avoid at all costs if you plan on doing a degree apprenticeship here, it requires you to ask questions you don’t even know to ask in order to receive information you require.

While my overall university and campus experience was enjoyable, I would advise prospective students to carefully consider their choice of tutor. In my experience, Ian Piper provided limited support with dissertations and lecture-related guidance, and feedback was not always constructive or helpful. I also felt that assessment outcomes were sometimes influenced by factors such as attendance and personal rapport rather than solely the quality of the research and academic content submitted. I am aware that other students have raised similar concerns in the past, although I have not seen any noticeable changes. Despite this, the university itself offers a positive environment and an enjoyable student experience.

Storage in coworking spaces can be limited, with most of it reserved for members with dedicated desks and private offices. However, you can reach out to the coworking operator using the form on the right side of the page to see what options are currently available.

Open desks may be the ideal choice if you thrive in a collaborative environment and value the opportunity to connect with fellow coworkers. Dedicated desks, on the other hand, provide a designated space with shared community amenities, catering to those who seek a balance between privacy and interaction.
For ultimate focus and private interactions, private offices are best for solo individuals and teams that seek uninterrupted productivity.
Selecting the most suitable workspace for you typically hinges on your work style and preferences, but it can also be determined by the type of work that you do, its duration, and whether you work alone or in a team.
-
Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with University of Portsmouth.
-
Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.
It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with University of Portsmouth, who is more than happy to help out.
