I use the hot desking once a week. It's a wonderful environment to work in, with other little rooms you can book if needed for a more private call. All the people are very welcoming and friendly since I joined nearly a year ago.

I really enjoy working at The Harpenden Collective. It’s a warm, welcoming community, and the space itself is bright, airy and beautifully decorated. I love the meeting room overlooking the garden. The organised events are fantastic for meeting other freelancers and small businesses. I also appreciate the various workspace packages offering me the flexibility I need. I get so much more done here than working form home!

Working out of THC has been a revelation. It affords me the opportunity to work quietly when that is key, but also seek the input of like-minded professionals when I need to. I've also had the opportunity to collaborate with other members allowing me to win new business simply unavailable otherwise. I would urge anyone to come and try it out.

I've been working at The Harpenden Collective for almost 2 years now, and for the last few months, in the new space at Red Gables, which is fantastic! The new space offers a number of different areas to work in, including really flexible packages like the 'lounge hours' option, which I've found really useful in addition to my monthly desk plan. There are also plenty of spaces to take calls or have meetings if you want somewhere more private, as well as a lovely garden too. It's quiet (but not too quiet), and sociable (as much or as little as you want though), and there's a great programme of events from more business focused things such as AI seminars, to a run club + monthly afterwork drinks. It's really changed the way I work, and I've made new friends + found a local community, which is what I was looking for as well as somewhere professional to work.

Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with The Harpenden Collective.

Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.
It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with The Harpenden Collective, who is more than happy to help out.
