I stayed here for two nights on the 10th and was left thoroughly disappointed. While the room size was good and the shower had great pressure/heat, the actual "stay" experience was frustrating due to poor maintenance and a complete lack of basic information.
The front desk experience with Ufuoma was unprofessional. She was not in uniform and provided zero essential information: no check-out times, no breakfast offers, and no mention of hotel facilities. A billing error meant I was only charged for one night, which the hotel didn't realize until 8:00 PM the next day.
Room Functionality & Maintenance:
• Charging & Power: The room only had two plug sockets, both on the opposite side of the room from the bed. This is incredibly inconvenient for charging devices or using a phone as an alarm.
• Communication: There was no phone in the room and zero information regarding room service. I had no way of knowing if it was even provided or how to contact the desk.
• HVAC: The A/C unit failed to heat the room, so I was given a plug-in electric heater—a "band-aid" fix for a known maintenance issue.
• Amenities: I ran out of coffee after one cup as the tray wasn't properly stocked.
When I raised the issue of the old food found in my room to Ufuoma, she was completely dismissive. Her response was simply to "speak to someone in the morning." There was no apology and no concern for my experience.
For a brand like Accor, the lack of a uniform, the lack of a room phone, and the "unbothered" attitude of the staff is unacceptable. This hotel is a Mercure and I started my time off in the hotel industry in a Mercure and this is definitely not the standard of hotel I was expecting.I would not recommend this property to solo travelers who value safety and professional service.
Later, at the bar, the staff member was also out of uniform and lacked basic training—he was unable to process a standard industry discount card, appearing completely clueless about brand-standard procedures.
As apart of the Accor Franchise, being a employee, I would like this to be looked into and contacted about a outcome of this , and how this will be resolved, I feel embarrassed to leave this review especially as a member of staff for this franchise but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
