Soulspace - The Boathouse

We had our wedding celebration at the Boathouse and had such a wonderful experience, from the initial planning right through to the day itself. Justyna was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process. She was incredibly accommodating, helpful and easy to work with, and made planning our celebration feel straightforward and stress-free. The Boathouse is such a beautiful and unique venue. We chose to have our celebration outside in the Members Garden and in the Little Boathouse and it was exactly what we had imagined — a relaxed celebration by the river, surrounded by natural greenery, flowers and a lovely rustic setting. We wanted an informal day with family and friends, drinks and a riverside BBQ, and the Boathouse was absolutely perfect for this. It was also a real bonus that we didn't need to do much decorating, as the setting is already so pretty and has so much natural character. The staff were fantastic on the day too. We had an unexpected and very sudden thunderstorm which, thankfully, was short-lived, but the team were brilliant. They immediately went around drying everything and getting things back to normal, and no guests were affected. We really appreciated how calmly and efficiently they dealt with it! Some of our friends who know Guildford well had never been to the Boathouse before and didn't even know it was there. They were all really complimentary about the venue and how lovely and unexpected the setting was. A huge thank you to Justyna and her team for making our wedding celebration so memorable. The whole experience was fantastic and the venue completely lived up to our expectations. We would definitely love to come back to the Boathouse for another event in the future! Thank you so much. Had the most amazing birthday celebration here! The venue is beautiful, they are super flexible to our preferences and the staff were super accommodating and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

My family (about 25 of us) had a funeral wake/tea/reception at the Boathouse yesterday after my brother's funeral. It was just the right place - quiet, with a lovely outlook over the water. Tea, Champagne, lovely sandwiches and small cakes were served. We were able to chat and exchange family memories, whilst we were looked after by the quietly efficient staff. Highly recommended

Highly recommend as a wedding venue!! We had the BEST day - relaxed atmosphere, gorgeous riverside location, incredible service and delicious food! Justyna and Jana went above and beyond to make the whole process from planning to the actual day go so smoothly. We felt completely relaxed throughout knowing we were in their capable hands, and are so grateful for their care and thoughtfulness - they have many years of wedding experience between them and this really showed! Justyna had loads of valuable recommendations and helped to make our day so special and personal to us. Jana looked after us on the day and was so attentive and helpful which made us be able to really enjoy the day. The boathouse is a stunning venue; we loved the variety of spaces available from the riverside deck with beautiful plants and river view to the stylish interiors of the attic and the little boathouse. We were really impressed with the catering partners and the delicious BBQ food! All of the staff on the day were so friendly too.
