The hotel has recently started charging for parking, which is understandable. However, the parking payment machine did not print a receipt after I paid. I asked the front desk about it, and I was told that an electronic receipt would be emailed to me the next day. It has now been over three weeks, and I still haven’t received anything despite their promise. This lack of follow-up is very disappointing. I’ve stayed at this hotel at least five times in the past. Unfortunately, because of the poor handling of this issue and the lack of customer service, I won’t be choosing this hotel again.

I had a pleasant stay at the Village Hotel overall. The hotel was clean, modern, and offered excellent facilities, including a Starbucks, gym, swimming pool, steam room, cold plunge pool, and sauna, which were all great additions to the stay. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, and the hotel was nice and quiet at night, making it easy to relax and get a good night's sleep. The lifts were also convenient, especially when carrying luggage. The main downside was the check-in process, which is primarily self-service. While this may suit some guests, I prefer a more personal check-in experience. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with my booking, and I was initially given a room that was already occupied. I then had to return downstairs to speak with customer services to resolve the issue. There appeared to be only one staff member available, which resulted in a wait when dealing with queries and problems. The food was a little disappointing. I ordered the wings, which were supposed to come with BBQ sauce, but they were quite dry and lacked flavour. Despite these issues, the cleanliness, facilities, and comfortable room made for an enjoyable stay, and I would consider staying again.
