Having rented office space for 12 years I suddenly found myself working on my own - the central base of operations for my now remote team. We were able to offer this flexibility before COVID - but it became a permanent and highly valued benefit to our staff afterward.
But what this meant for me as a business owner was a lonely workplace, a loss of connection and paying rent for an often empty office. The work-life balance for my staff was way more important to me as it was a core value of my business. So I started to look for other options.
Thanks to my colleague who was having lunch nearby - I booked in a visit with Karen Tait and almost 3 years later I have not looked back. I have a dedicated desk, beautiful countryside views, a place for my clients and colleagues (don't forget their dogs) to pop in with free parking and lovely meeting spaces.
I get a welcome hello in the mornings, the support of like minded business owners, amazing networking opportunities - and I have Co-Workers. Best business decision I have made in a long time!
