On arrival the receptionist on arrival was welcoming and helpful however, the condition of the facilities was disappointing. My mum’s robe had multiple holes in it, which was not a great first impression. The spa itself felt quite outdated, and several amenities were either not functioning or not maintained to a good standard. The pool was very cold, one of the two monsoon showers was not working, and one of the steam rooms was not producing steam and had a noticeable mouldy smell. The overall cleanliness was slack - dust, mould etc.
A particular concern was the relaxation beds, which were excessively hot to the point of being uncomfortable and actually burning the skin, even through a towel and robe.
The most concerning part of the day, however, was my treatment. I had booked a facial along with a hand, arm, and scalp massage, but the experience was extremely unpleasant. The pressure used was far too firm and at times painful rather than relaxing. The towels applied to my skin were excessively hot, which the therapist even acknowledged, yet they were still used directly on my face.
Throughout the treatment, the technique felt rough — including pinching and pulling. This left me feeling very uncomfortable and far from pampered. I did not feel at ease raising this at the time, but in hindsight, the treatment felt unprofessional and poorly delivered. I would not recommend a facial at all.
I did reach out to multiple emails but have had no response.
