The perfect co-working space whether popping through for a day or staying in Cockermouth long term. The crew at The Vicky welcomed me in when I moved to Cockermouth, and it is a pleasure to work in this environment. The space has fast wi-fi, monitors, and a meeting pod for more private conversations. Dave (the owner) is very hospitable and goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome. The music, snacks, social events, and banter are top tier. I would recommend The Vicky to anyone looking for a co-working space.
I’ve been coming to The Vicky most days since moving to Cockermouth and starting remote work over a year ago. This gem has completely transformed my daily routine. It’s a welcoming space full of lovely people, both regulars and people passing through, in the centre of the town. Dave goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. He provides free tea/coffee and biscuits, and provides stationary and printing facilities for all to use. The WiFi is fast and reliable - I’ve never had any issues. It’s a lovely relaxed atmosphere to work and makes you feel part of the community, definitely recommend!
If you need a hug, a cookie (biscuit), or just a nice place to work, come to the Vicky. Dave (the owner/biscuit provider) is a kind and gentle soul who rescues local birds and welcomes people into his lovely 17th-century church, beautifully transformed into a workspace for all. If you work from home and feel lonely, the Vicky is the spot for you. If you're a traveller who works on the road, this place is also a perfect stop. It's warm, welcoming, and full of character, with a genuine sense of community that's hard to find. Come for the workspace, stay for the conversation, the biscuits, and the feeling that you've found a place where everyone is welcome.

What a fantastic workspace and friendly, professional environment! I recently travelled from Norfolk to Cumbria with my wife while she attended a two-week course. Planning to work from our accommodation, I quickly realised the Wi-Fi there was next to useless. Fortunately, The Vicky in Cockermouth came to the rescue. It is a clean, tidy co-working office space with a great community feel. Dave was incredibly helpful and accommodating, even providing a large screen monitor for my laptop. The Wi-Fi speeds (both download and upload) were excellent, and they have a private pod you can book out, which is perfect for taking Teams calls. To top it off, there's free tea, coffee, and chocolate biscuits! The Vicky is a brilliant asset to Cockermouth and the wider Cumbria community. I highly recommend it.
