Taken a course here. A lovely modern venue with a great bunch of people. The course was ok and had a varied content and it wasn’t clear what was the level of skill expected or what was the target group . It would benefit from refining the course outcomes and pitching it at a certain group (whichever that would be) so people feel like they are learning and are gaining skills they don’t already know or that the course is not pitched too high for them.

Superb informal drawing course lead by Andy Grey. Great for all abilities and skill levels. Design West is a great central hosted space overlooking the floating harbour. Super Architect Bar downstairs for a social drink as well.

Richard Guise's short course on the History of Architecture was brilliant, informative and entertaining.

Monday was the last session of the Design West Urban Sketching course, and I’m really going to miss it! Andy’s a brilliant, supportive teacher who makes sketching fun and accessible. The venue was lovely, and the group was so welcoming. It reminded me how much I enjoy sketching – highly recommend!

A fantastic event space right in the centre of town and with views of the harbourside. It was a great space creating an environment for active engagement. There was such a lovely buzz in the room. Huge thanks must go to Malcolm who was an absolute star from start to finish. Enabling me to access the room early to set-up, which was all ready and waiting set up for the event, providing tech support to ensure audio and visual access for the Teams dial-in, and we also weren’t hurried out of the room at the end. This was really valued as those attending were able to finish conversations and build on all the good that had been created during the event. I will be recommending this event space highly and look forward to returning in the future. Thank you all.

  • Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Design West.

  • For spontaneous collaboration and interaction, open desks provide an open and flexible environment. If you prefer a dedicated space with shared community elements, dedicated desks offer a great balance between personal space and interaction.

On the other hand, private offices are best suited for focused work and private interactions. They're ideal for solo workers as well as teams seeking a dedicated space, shielded from distractions.

Choosing the ideal coworking arrangement for you is about aligning your workspace with your work style, team dynamics, and project requirements.
