Trains and buses together which should make getting about Bradford quite easy. It’s fairly close to the city centre which is all pedestrianised but I find it quite soulless. Even though there are picnic benches on the approach and a display re City of Culture it’s not somewhere I would want to spend any time. The concourse is large with lots of information re the buses and trains on display; there’s also a Gregg’s which gets pretty busy. Once the many steps have been climbed and the railway platforms reached there’s a much more interesting vista with a serious amount of tubs and borders planted up in vivid hues. Ten months into the 2025 City of Culture and there was little information about events etc, no maps and no volunteers guiding visitors-Bradford has seriously missed a trick here, particularly as the Tourist Information has permanently closed and the ticket office for City of Culture doesn’t open until lunchtime.
