As someone with a background in service experience and customer environments, I found this café to be a mixed experience. First, Google currently shows the venue as closed when it is actually open, which is likely discouraging potential customers before they even arrive. This is something that should be corrected as a priority. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and customer service itself was pleasant. However, the physical environment significantly detracts from the overall experience. The pricing for reserved workspaces feels excessively high relative to the value provided. The free laptop-friendly area is unfortunately extremely noisy. The low ceiling creates a strong echo effect, amplifying conversations from every direction. Rather than feeling like a comfortable workspace or café, the atmosphere resembles a storage area or industrial space, making it difficult to concentrate and, after a short period, quite uncomfortable. Another limitation is the food offering. There appears to be no on-site kitchen, with food sourced from FED rather than prepared in-house. While this is not necessarily a problem in itself, it does reduce the uniqueness of the experience. Overall, the staff deserve credit for their friendliness, but the servicescape—the physical environment, acoustics, comfort, and workspace experience—needs substantial improvement. The noise levels and echo make it difficult to stay for any length of time. For me, it is a place to grab a coffee quickly rather than somewhere I would choose to work, meet clients, or spend several hours. 3/5 stars.

Lovely co-working space/cafe and super friendly staff. Had an issue on the day when visiting as I am not local and didn’t know the ‘rules’. Wanted to grab some lunch and do some admin for the 30 minutes- 1 hour I had before my meetings. Paid for lunch but was advised at the table that I wasn’t allowed to have my laptop out whilst eating, never known a cafe to limit what devices you’re allowed to use but personally I think some common sense could be applied for customers wanting to work while they eat and drink for a short period of time(max. 60 minutes). On the plus side, food and coffee were great and I would happily pay for the co-working facilities if I needed a full day of admin etc.

This co-working space is an unexpected gem! £10 for 4 hours to rent a desk and you get coffee included. They do great coffee and matcha lattes, amazing cakes, and their bacon and cheese croissant sandwich is the best I’ve ever had. The cafe part doesn’t allow laptops, but is great for a chat or chilling with a book. Plus, you get a carafe of cucumber mint water with your order. I love this place!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Please reach out to WorkRoom for more detailed information on membership options and pricing.

  • Storage in coworking spaces can be limited, with most of it reserved for members with dedicated desks and private offices. However, you can reach out to the coworking operator using the form on the right side of the page to see what options are currently available.

  • Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with WorkRoom.

  • For spontaneous collaboration and interaction, open desks provide an open and flexible environment. If you prefer a dedicated space with shared community elements, dedicated desks offer a great balance between personal space and interaction.

On the other hand, private offices are best suited for focused work and private interactions. They're ideal for solo workers as well as teams seeking a dedicated space, shielded from distractions.

Choosing the ideal coworking arrangement for you is about aligning your workspace with your work style, team dynamics, and project requirements.

  • Flexibility is the cornerstone of coworking, so you always have the option to adjust your workspace to match your current needs. With month-to-month memberships, you can effortlessly upgrade, downgrade, or even switch between different coworking plans.

While the standard practice is to change memberships only once the current one ends, WorkRoom may be able to offer additional options, so it’s best to reach out to their staff directly.
