Great place.
We hired the largest room for a family party for the day - 20 adults and 4 small children. It was the perfect venue, warm and inviting, with an excellent kitchen. Plenty of room as well. We will definitely use it again.
A lovely welcoming place. Many activities for all ages. I enjoy crafts on Wednesday afternoons.
I was signposted to the Hub on the Green to help and Support with official Government Agency Paperwork Application Forms amongst other pressing matters surrounding making contact with Utility Companies taking monies from my Bank Account without authorisation and Consent after recalling Direct Debits rgey had oeocessed and set up without my knowledge... I found two Volunteers and one who claimed he was not a volunteer sat in their main reception. I found them rude, judgemental, and highly unsupportive without validation of my needs, but signposting me to other 5hird parties which I knew were not able to service my needs... They confirmed the Main Paid workers were nit available and informed me to contact by telephone tomorrow morning. The Hub on the Green telephone line I believe through their in websight is open between the PM hours daily... I felt indeed unwelcome and under valued. I felt de-humanized and marginalised. I felt pre-judged and victimised because I am not conservatively dressed in an attire of Upper Class clothing. I do wear relatively good and casual clothing which is clean. I am not unkempt but I felt way out of my comfort zone, raising unnecessary Anxiety as they felt I was demanding to see someone to assist me on the day. This was not the case. I was asking on what days Services were available and if I need to prebook an appointment? But obviously they were not listening effectively or were the volunteers on that day were anti-social and way over critical jumping to aspersions. They showed personal bias and prejudice. As if I had no right to live within this highly Conservative area of profound historical history surrounding the Cadbury's Family vision for their workers and a large ownership if land for recreation, education and housing etc. They made me feel unworthy and completely out of place. Even though I have every right to live in this area and enjoy the Services of Bournville Villiage Trust without experiencing profound inequality, harassment or discrimination due to personal bigotry... Trustee's Sort this out immediately. As George Cadbury himself, I believe expressed, " one cannot expect a man to live, where a rose will not grow."
