Reviews
We've dined at Lunar 4 or 5 times now. After an impressive (albeit imperfect) start in 2021, each visit has been incrementally underwhelming which is great a shame. When the restaurant first opened we were optimistic this corner of North Staffordshire could develop a destination restaurant. Sadly that has not borne out. Our recent Sunday lunch (August 2026) was, unfortunately, likely our last meal at a restaurant that no longer seems to offer interesting food or value for money. Our welcome was warm enough and, on the whole, the inexperienced waiting team did their best to help. Things didn't start well: aperitifs arrived for three of our party of four along with an apology that neither the first nor second choice of a glass of fizzy wine was available for our fourth member. We gave a "get out", suggesting an upgrade to a glass £3 or £4 more expensive at the same price might be appreciated. This was dismissed out of hand; it was clumsy customer service from our white-gloved twenty-something server and set the tone for the meal ahead. The starters' flavour did not match their presentation. Crab mousse & asparagus was bland and the panko coated hoisin duck (pictured) tasted like it had been made at least a day before. The Sunday roast mains were served on fading, dishwasher-weary Wedgwood plates; they tasted okay (the meals, not the plates) but were no more accomplished than could be found at the local pub for less than half the cost. Overall, a disappointing meal at the price point. 5/10
The servise is so slow and employees are so rude Drinks taste awful
Had a lovely Sunday lunch experience - food was beautifully cooked and presented. There were just a few points of service that lacked which is why I have given 4*. I had written on the booking that it was a birthday celebration and although we saw cards on other tables there was nothing on ours - disappointing. It was also obviously a birthday as we unwrapped gifts so this could have been corrected. We were not offered water and had to ask 3 times before it arrived. We were also not told about the specials upfront, only whilst we were placing our order as an alternative option (again other tables were readily provided this menu). Not sure if we just got unlucky with service this time. The team were very friendly and welcoming and I would certainly eat here again.
Very helpful, friendly staff. Lovely food, nice place with lots of quirky touches.
We had such a beautiful time at Lunar. The food was very good but the service was the cherry on the icing. The staff were just lovely, lovely friendly, peaceful, accommodating and we really appreciated it. There’s not enough of this now a days, I attend with as a group of 8 for a grad after event. Thank you Sammie and team for accommodating us and for helping our event be so lovely! 💛

Open desks may be the ideal choice if you thrive in a collaborative environment and value the opportunity to connect with fellow coworkers. Dedicated desks, on the other hand, provide a designated space with shared community amenities, catering to those who seek a balance between privacy and interaction.
For ultimate focus and private interactions, private offices are best for solo individuals and teams that seek uninterrupted productivity.
Selecting the most suitable workspace for you typically hinges on your work style and preferences, but it can also be determined by the type of work that you do, its duration, and whether you work alone or in a team.
