This lovely eatery is situated inside the Wedgewood complex. Beautifully stylish and comfortable. Serves fabulous coffee and chocolate brownies made at least 20% more enjoyable because of the special crockery and cutlery. Staff were also very attentive and service was quick. I recommend Lunar at Wedgewood 👌👌👌
The staff were excellent very polite and helpful. The food arrived quickly it was hot and delicious. Will definitely call again.
Food and environment good, but waiter was restrictive on where we could sit despite restaurant occupancy being low (Thursday lunchtime). Apparently the tables were booked. Tables we enquired about remained empty the entire time we were in attendance. Will not be returning.
What a star restaurant. From secret door bars to excellent service and food, Lunar has an unusual stylish feel with artwork and Wedgwood on the walls, plus a huge moon hanging from the ceiling. The fillet steak was one of the best, as was the lamb main that my wife chose. Certainly one to check out.
We've dined at Lunar 4 or 5 times now. After an impressive (albeit imperfect) start in 2021, each visit has been incrementally underwhelming which is great a shame. When the restaurant first opened we were optimistic this corner of North Staffordshire could develop a destination restaurant. Sadly that has not borne out. Our recent Sunday lunch (August 2026) was, unfortunately, likely our last meal at a restaurant that no longer seems to offer interesting food or value for money. Our welcome was warm enough and, on the whole, the inexperienced waiting team did their best to help. Things didn't start well: aperitifs arrived for three of our party of four along with an apology that neither the first nor second choice of a glass of fizzy wine was available for our fourth member. We gave a "get out", suggesting an upgrade to a glass £3 or £4 more expensive at the same price might be appreciated. This was dismissed out of hand; it was clumsy customer service from our white-gloved twenty-something server and set the tone for the meal ahead. The starters' flavour did not match their presentation. Crab mousse & asparagus was bland and the panko coated hoisin duck (pictured) tasted like it had been made at least a day before. The Sunday roast mains were served on fading, dishwasher-weary Wedgwood plates; they tasted okay (the meals, not the plates) but were no more accomplished than could be found at the local pub for less than half the cost. Overall, a disappointing meal at the price point. 5/10
