A very nice and secluded hotel. You can hear the highway a little, but even with the window open, it's not a problem. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, especially in the bar and restaurant. The breakfast and restaurant are highly recommended. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The bar is fantastic. The pictures mainly showcase the beautiful, secluded surroundings of the hotel. Whether for a long or short stay, highly recommended!

Amazing house and grounds, great food and conference facilities, with reasonable rooms that were clean and had all you needed. Would definitely consider using this site again.

I have given 2 stars. 1 for the location & appeal of the original part of the building & 2nd for the nice room. Although the room had no information of local places of interest or restaurants. Or a menu for either the bar or restaurant within the hotel. We booked through Expedia for a 1 night with breakfast for 2guests in a double room. However on checking in we were asked to pay an extra £30.00 for 2nd guest. On leaving, I questioned this but was told we had booked for 1 person. I explained that with Expedia it automatically enters 2 guests & 1 room. So didn’t expect to pay again. We later decided to eat in the restaurant & asked for a menu,( as I am pescatarian). First of all there were no staff to ask & we waited for ages. Eventually someone appeared so I asked for menu, only to be told that the restaurant was closed tonight for a private function. It would have been nice to have been told this when we checked in. The only good thing about this stay was the fact that breakfast was at 7am & it was still hot as we were the first ones there.

Great location but avoid Malvern House room 50 - dated. Extremely small, double bed against the wall, door on the side of bed - you can hear everyone walking outside. Bathroom small, bath and shower together so, the water goes everywhere. Tap in the sink broken... Horrible

I was really disappointed with my stay. The restaurant was closed, apparently reserved only for people attending conferences during the day, which wasn’t made clear when booking. The food options were ok but the pizza I chose turned out to be a basic frozen Chicago Town pizza. I was given a room in the quad, which unfortunately felt more like an old university dorm or school boarding room than a hotel. The room was uncomfortably hot, and there were a few dead flies in the light fitting, which didn’t leave a great impression. It’s a real shame because the main building and grounds look grand and inviting, and the photos online give the impression of a much higher standard. Sadly, the reality didn’t match the pictures or expectations.
