The Beerhall at Coachworks advertises itself as a live sports venue, so it was very disappointing that they refused to put the commentary on for the England third-place play-off match. After asking two members of staff, I was eventually told by the bar manager that although the game was being shown, they would not turn the sound on and that it "wasn't a sports bar." This response was surprising given how the venue promotes itself and the fact that they have previously charged customers to enter specifically to watch England World Cup matches. Showing the game without any commentary took away much of the atmosphere, and it felt like a missed opportunity to create a great experience for supporters. For a venue that markets itself as a place to watch live sport, the decision was both disappointing and inconsistent.

Amazing place to relax in the sun and enjoy some food and great beer. We came to try the food a week ago and was super impressed - so we came back for the England football game - it felt so organised - the vibe was chilled not too rowdy - easy to get a drink considering it was the football , and again amazing food :) this is now our favourite place to hang out can’t wait to see some live music here some day :)
Went yo the open mic at this venue today and the music was great. But the Blonde female staff member with face pearcings in the beer hall, came across as rude abrupt and unfriendly . I’m a man of colour and hope that had nothing to do with it. But she was so blatantly toxic. When I asked for coffee she said machine was not working. I would like to challenge this as I felt the coffee machine maybe working but staff could not be bothered to make it so may have lied. WOUKD like to see proof that it was not working. Taco stall guy was very rude and stressed too. Not a pleasant experience. Such a shame for a venue with great potential.
Was served by I think his name was Sam, absolutely brilliant member of staff! Massive credit to the company.
