Be careful, there are thieves out there, and the community managers don't care.
I've worked for years at various WeWork locations around the world, and I've also taken out memberships for my employees. But after only a few days at Jules Lefebvre's, someone stole my Meta glasses (worth €500), even though I hadn't even left my belongings unattended. The person simply took advantage of a brief moment of inattention while I was at my desk or using the restroom.
I immediately notified the community managers: no reaction. The incident seemed to have nothing to do with them. Zero seriousness, zero respect, and no willingness to help. Talking with other members, I learned that thefts on the ground floor are "known"... and that you should definitely not stay there. A lively atmosphere.
I was advised to file a complaint so that WeWork would agree to check the security cameras. Which I did. The police clearly told me that WeWork had the right (and the moral duty) to preserve the recordings until investigators arrived. I submitted the request, and WeWork simply replied: "Please contact the police." No cooperation, no empathy.
If I were the manager of a shared space like WeWork, and a thief was on the loose, I would at least try to understand who it was. Extremely disappointing.
