The Iberdrola Tower is Bilbao's most iconic skyscraper and a symbol of the city's urban transformation. Standing 165 meters tall with 40 floors, it dominates the skyline of the Biscayan capital. Designed by the Argentinian architect César Pelli, its modern architecture with a glass facade reflects light spectacularly. Although primarily an office building, it has become a cultural icon representing Bilbao's modernity. The plaza outside is perfect for appreciating its grandeur. At night, illuminated, it is even more impressive. An architectural landmark that symbolizes 21st-century Bilbao.

Although it is primarily an Iberdrola corporate office building and not open to the public, its architectural presence is undeniable from anywhere in the city. The tower blends seamlessly into the urban landscape of the modern Abandoibarra district, alongside other landmarks such as the Guggenheim Museum and the Euskalduna Palace. It is a perfect spot for photography from the outside, especially from Doña Casilda Park or the opposite bank of the estuary. A symbol of progress and contemporary architecture that defines the new Bilbao.

Standing at 165 meters tall and with 41 floors, the Iberdrola Tower, designed by architect César Pelli, is the tallest building in the Basque Country and the largest office skyscraper in Spain. Its façade is covered with 4,800 units of glass designed exclusively for the Tower. A helipad for emergency flights crowns the roof of this skyscraper, which houses the headquarters of the electricity company Iberdrola. Currently, the Iberdrola Tower is not open to the public.

It's a disgrace that Bilbao's tallest building is offices and can't even be visited. If it were a hotel, they'd make more money. It's like the Eiffel Tower being privately owned. It's wrong that it's offices and restricted to the public.
